Multi-Disciplinary Music Education

Our music training program was developed by our music teacher, Monique Lefebvre, and is based on the work of Barbara Cass-Beggs, in combination with elements of Kodaly, Orff, Dalcroze, Curen, Suzuki and Montessori.

Music learning groups are organized by developmental stages—skills and abilities, not necessarily age.

The approach is multisensory, drawing on visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement) activities and using elements such as voice, instruments, and movement.

Lessons are cumulative, building on previous learning to teach notation, music symbols, music terms, pitch awareness and fluency in reading rhythm.
