Schedule

Children are much relaxed if they know what to expect each day. They like their days to be predictable. The following schedule is just an example of what the real one will look like, and if teachers and children are happy with it they will continue it. We will do our best to stick to it until all the children have adapted themselves to their new environment and their new teachers and friends. Because we include education in the day care, our routine is different from a play based one, so it will take few weeks until we find out when is the best time to serve breakfast, lunch, snacks, to take siesta, outplay, free play, etc.
Even though we have schedule Snack time as a group, if a child is hungry earlier of the schedule time he is allowed to eat separate; if a child does not feel hungry at the schedule group snack time, he is not oblige to eat.
The scheduled times are approximate. Sometimes we will be few minutes up or down. As most of you, we try to plan our day on the weather. If the weather is very good, we will jump outside and do the classes after coming back. It is the matter of switching the daily program.
An additional aspect to consider will be the seasons we are in: Spring and summer will have lighter days than fall and winter. So, because everything we do is in the best interest of our children, their behavior and the weather will teach us how to program our days.
