Gradual Entry

To help the child to “heal” faster from his separation anxiety (or not to get it at all), we practice the gradual entry both in our Preschool and in our Care and Education programs.

If the child comes into the classroom and is left there for what it seems to him and eternity, he will be unhappy and miserable, not enjoying coming back the day after. However, if he comes each time for one or two hours for a few days he will love to have more of it and everyday he will stay longer. Gradual entry is concluded at the time the child says goodbye to mommy and daddy with a kiss and a hug and not crying.

Pre-requisite

       F
ull toilet trained is a sign that the child is ready for our program but if a child is in the process of getting trained, our staff can assist in the practice.

Environment - Safety First!!!

There are few things that we have in mind at our Care and Education when thinking of health in the classroom, washrooms and eating areas, and these are:

*      We have single use fabric towels (only in the kitchens) which are collected daily for their washing at the end of the week. By doing this we save trees as we limit the use of paper towel.

                                    Breakfast and Snacks

At our Care and Education program, we understand how busy new parents are, that's why we include breakfast in our schedule. A hot healthy breakfast is included in the monthly fee. Breakfast time promotes social interaction and it is a healthy way to start a child’s day.
    -
But if your child is not a breakfast little person and likes to have breakfast at home that's ok with us –

Two additional healthy snacks will be provided during the day, one in mid-morning and one in the afternoon. Time table for snacks will vary. Children will decide when to eat them. Also included in the monthly fee.

Oh, I almost forgot, also included are milk and juice, plus,

*      Our margarine is made with canola and olive oil.

*      Our breads are whole wheat, flax, or multi grain.

*      Only we use sugar-free or not sugar added juice.

*      The milk we use contains 2% of fat.

*      And many more.... come and see it for yourself.

                                                          Health and Nutrition

We go out twice a day, weather permitting, in every season. We require our children to be healthy enough to go outdoors to enjoy the good weather.  We ask parents to keep their child at home if he has fever, vomits or diarrhea.
